Shoma Chaudhury appears before Goa Court

Tehelka’s former managing editor Shoma Chaudhury appears before Goa court on Saturday to record her statement in the alleged sexual assault case against Tahelka’s former editor-in-chief Tarun Tejpal. Chaudhury’s stamen is vital in the case. She resigned following severe criticism of her action for trying to cover-up the incident.

The Goa police have arrested Tarun Tejpal on last Saturday evening after the court denied anticipatory bail to him in sexual assault case.

The arrest was made following the reports of Tarun Tejpal’s molestation of a woman journalist.

Meanwhile today the Court has  granted another four-day police custody for Tejpal.
