Two Micromax owners – Rajesh Agrawal and Manish Tuli – was caught ‘red handed’ by CBI on Wednesday while they were allegedly paying Rs 30 lakh bribe to the engineers of Delhi Municipal Corporation for approval of a banquet hall construction in the Wazirpur area.
Along with the Micromax owners the CBI has also arrested two junior officials of the North Delhi Municipal Corporation. After the arrest CBI raided 15 locations related to MCD officials.
According to CBI, Agrawal and Tuli had negotiated with engineers and MCD officials of the civic body to get the clearance to construct a banquet hall in the Wazirpur area. The officials first demanded bribe of Rs 50 lakh, which later Agrawal and Tuli brought down to Rs. 30 lakh.
