Jet Airways slashed airfare

After SpiceJet, now another low budget carrier in India, Jet Airways announced major discount on their airfare.

In a press release, on Tuesday, India’s second largest domestic airline, Jet Airways announced, that they have slashed air fares as low as Rs 2,250 for a single journey, effective from February 19 to 25th.

According to Jet Airways there are 20 lakh seats of almost 450 flights across 57 destinations are on discounted rates and passengers who will buy the tickets during this period can travel up to 31st December 2013.

“This nationwide low-fare sales offer is a goodwill gesture to our loyal guests who will now be able to plan and schedule their travel much in advance, especially during the holiday seasons, while benefiting from these special fares,” Jet Airways Group CEO, Sudheer Raghavan said.

The proposed discounted airfares of Jet Airways are:

Up to 750 km – Rs 2,250

Up to 750-1,000 km – Rs 2,850

Travel between 1,000 and 1,400 km – Rs 3,300

Travel above 1,400 km – Rs 3,800
