Motor Accident Claims Tribunal in New Delhi has ordered Ghaziabad resident Mohammed Akram to pay Rs. 40 lakh as compensation to late Delhi police head constable Ram Kewal Singh Yadav’s family.
On 14th June 2012, Mohammed Akram was riding a scooter which dashed against constable Ram Yadav. He later died in the hospital.
Akram will have to pay Rs. 40,02,976 to Yadav’s wife and two children.
“In view of the statement of eyewitness and documents available on record, it is prima facie proved that deceased Yadav died due to injuries suffered in the road accident caused due to rash and negligent driving of respondent no. 1 (Mohammed Akram),” MACT said.
