Bharat Ratna for Dhyan Chand?

According to Sports Minister Jitendra Singh, government is considering Bharat Ratna honour for hockey legend Dhyan Chand following ever increase demand.

Jitendra Singh told reporters that government is serious in conferring legendary Hockey player and Olympic gold medalist Dhyan Chand with India’s highest civilian award for his contribution to the game.

Sports Minister also said that the government is trying to sort out the problem between the International Olympic Committee and the Indian Olympic Association so that Indian athletes can participate next year’s Olympics.
