The controversial WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has made his television debut on Tuesday as a talk show host. The debut episode featured an interview with Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah, who rarely gives any interview.
In 45-minute video chat with Assange, Islamic extremist leader Hassan Nasrallah expressed his views on Israel, Lebanon, Syria, theology and encryption.
Hassan Nasrallah confirmed that Hezbollah supports Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad and Hezbollah was in touch with the Syrian opposition leaders for mediation but “they rejected dialogue”. “You have an opposition that is not prepared for dialogue … all it wants is to bring down the regime,” Nasrallah said. He said that he would be happy to mediate whenever required in near future.
Wikileaks, the whistle-blowing website has been shut from public domain due to various legal and financial causes. The founder, Julian Assange has been under house arrest in London amid extradition to Sweden on sex crime charges.
