A Delhi court gave 22 websites including Facebook and Google 15 more days to erase ‘objectionable’ contents from their websites.
Although earlier February 6 was set as deadline for these companies, but the judge awarded another 15 days time to file a written reply on this matter.
Facebook India and Google India filed compliance report before the Delhi court today. It said that they have removed certain web pages which are in question from the site.
Facebook, Yahoo and Microsoft also requested court to not take any action against them in this matter as they have done no wrong.
The court however was irritated with Google Inc for not giving any satisfactory reply.
Last December the court summons 22 social networking websites asking them to remove ‘objectionable’ contents which might hurt social and religious sentiments.
