The Kremlin has said that Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko held a talk on Tuesday and discussed possibility over ceasefire.
The news came at a time when second Russian TV journalist was killed in eastern part of Ukraine.
“The issue of possible ceasefire in the area of a military operation in Ukraine’s southeast has been touched upon,” the Kremlin said.
“Petro Poroshenko expressed condolences over the deaths of Russian media representatives and assured the Russian president that a relevant investigation would be conducted following his order,” Putin’s office said.
Anton Voloshin and Igor Kornelyuk – the Russian TV journalists – were killed near the city of Lugansk in the eastern part of Ukraine while they went to cover the conflict.
