An argument between two close friends sparkled an anti-christian riot in Lahore on Saturday.
Sawan Masih, a Christian man had a row with his Muslim friend Shahid Imran over discussion while drinking alcohol together three days back. During that argument drunk Sawan Masih commented blasphemous remarks about Prophet Mohammed. He was arrested on Friday.
On Saturday over 3000 angry muslim mob rampaged through Joseph Colony in Lahore and burnt more than 100 Christian houses.
Police has arrested 60 people. In an interview with Geo TV, Pervez Rashid, spokesman for Punjab provincial government, said, “culprits would be tried in anti-terrorist courts”.
Human Rights groups in Pakistan has been demanding chages in blasphemy laws in the country.
