Pakistan’s Punjab Assembly criticised India and passed a unanimously resolution against India’s alleged violation along LOC.
The Punjab Assembly resolution condemned killing of Pakistani soldiers and citizens along borders. The PML-N government headed by Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif asked Pakistan government to raise the issue at international forums.
Earlier in the day Pakistan summoned Indian deputy high commissioner and lodged protest against “ceasefire violations” which kills a civilian at Rawalakot by the BSF along the LoC.
“Pakistan calls upon India to uphold the ceasefire over the LoC and reiterates its commitment to the Ceasefire Agreement of 2003, which should be respected in letter and spirit,” the foreign office statement said.
It also reads that Pakistan wants a “constructive, sustained and result-oriented process of engagement with India.”
