According to the latest sources, a priest has been killed in a sudden attack carried out by two armed men, at his place of work that is, the church, French media and officials stated.
The armed duo entered the church in Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray which is near Rouen in the northern part of France, amidst the mass. The serenity soon broke out as the priest who was reciting was taken into captivity, along with two other nuns and some mass attenders.
Apparently, a round of firing took place after the police entered the scene. The attackers and the priest are now dead. The area has been cordoned away by the police, with citrine being asked to keep out from the place.
No motive could be discovered as to what prompted this attack. The nation, however, has been on high vigilance ever since the previous Nice attacks that broke out in the nation.
