In an interesting decision, China has allowed prisoners in Beijing jails to order food online for occasions when the prisoners are visited by family members.
Feng Jiancang, head of the Human Rights in Justice Office of the Institute for Crime Prevention, Ministry of Justice, said that now prisoners can not merely meet their family members by way of reward for good behaviour but can also use the prison’s intranet to select the meals they wanted to share with their family members.
In an attempt to improve the human rights in China, China removed bans on homosexuality and dyed hair in prisons last year.
