The Secretary-General of the United Nations, Ban Ki-moon has condemned the ongoing violence in Thailand.
A day after the bomb blast in front a Departmental Store in Bangkok, Ban Ki-moon called for cease immediately and asked the Government to punish those who are responsible for this. A Six-year-old girl along with 2 young children has died in the blast. A woman has also killed in the blast.
Ban Ki-moon asked for a meaningful dialogue between the government and protestors to end the political crisis in the country. He said both the side should respect laws and human rights and there is no room for using the violence to solve the disputes.
Thailand Premier Yingluck Shinawatra called it “terrorist acts”.
“The violent incidents are terrorist acts for political gain without any regard for human lives. The government will not tolerate terrorism and has ordered a full investigation by authorities to find the culprits and bring them to justice without exception,” Shinawatra said.
Meanwhile the anti-government protest continues in the country.
