Royal Enfield launched Continental GT in India at Rs 2.05 lakh

UK motorcycle maker Royal Enfield has launched much-awaited Continental GT in India at Rs 2.05 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The Continental GT will be available in Mumbai at Rs 2.15 lakh.

The Continental GT will be available in red and yellow colours and it weighs 184kg.

Running on a single cylinder engine, the Continental GT produces 29PS of power and 44Nm of peak torque and completed by five-speed gearbox. The bike features Pirelli Sport Demon tyres and brembo brakes. The Continental GT has 13.5 litres capacity with 90 per cent oil and fuel.

“As the world re-awakens to the sound of modern café racers, Royal Enfield is bringing back an icon that introduces the spirit of one of the most popular motorcycling cultures in history with the Continental GT – the lightest, fastest and most powerful Royal Enfield in production,” Siddhartha Lal, Managing Director and CEO, Eicher Motors Limited said.

Royal Enfield showed the motorcycle at the Auto Expo 2012 and launched in UK early 2013.
