Maruti Suzuki India has unveiled a new version of its famous Alto 800. The new version of alto 800 will be available in two versions: petrol and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG).
The MD and CEO of Maruti Suzuki India, Shinzo Nakanishi, announced that more than 10,000 orders for the new Alto 800 have already been received.
Mr.Nakanishi said: “It is the country’s largest selling car for the past eight years. At 22.74 KMPL, the fuel efficiency of the new car is up by 15 per cent.”
Mr.Nakamishi said that the car has been designed for the youth and that the new alto 800 is comfortable to drive. He said that forty per cent of the customers for the new Alto 800 are expected to be less than 35-years old.
The car is available in three versions: standard, LX and LXi.
The petrol versions of the Standard, LX, and Lxi models are priced at Rs.2,44,000/-, Rs.2,76,500/ and Rs.2,99,000/- (ex-Delhi) while the corresponding prices for the CNG versions are Rs.3,19,000/-, Rs.3,37,000/- and Rs.3,56,000/- (ex-Delhi).
Suzuki India has sold more than two million Alto 800 cars ever since the model’s first launch in September 2000.
