Mahindra launches XUV500 W4 variant in India at Rs 10.83 lakh

India’s leading car maker Mahindra & Mahindra has launched a new model of popular SUV, XUV500 – the W4 at Rs 10.83 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai).

The XUV500 W4 variant is powered by a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine which provides 140bhp power output and 330Nm of top torque. M XUV500 W4 claims to be a fuel efficiency of 15.1kmpl.

“The XUV500 has resonated very well with our customers since its launch and has since become a trendsetter within the Indian automotive industry. With over 74,000 vehicles on the road within two years of launch, the XUV500 is one of our most successful launches. As a customer centric organisation, we have incorporated customer feedback at every step and evolved and today’s W4 model launch bears testimony to the same,” Dr Pawan Goenka, Executive Director & President, Automotive & Farm Equipment Sectors, Mahindra said on the launching occasion.

Looking similar to the variants like W6, W8 and W8 AWD – the XUV500 W4 comes with a 6-way adjustable seat, fully foldable 2nd & 3rd row seat, stilt steering, music system with four speakers, remote central locking and twin HVAC. It has dual tone interiors. W4 has standard safety features including projector headlamps with LEDs, Dual Airbags, ABS with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), side impact beams and crash protection with crumple zones.
