Mahindra and Mahindra To Launch SUVs From SsangYong Mid Next Year

Leading automaker in India Mahindra and Mahindra plans to launch their sports utility vehicles (SUVs) from SsangYong by the middle of next year. They are now concentrating on launching of its newest SUV ‘XUV 500’ in this December.

Earlier this year Mahindra and Mahindra acquired South Korean automobile giant SsangYong.

“Some of SsangYong SUVs will come by middle of next year, after the ‘XUV 500’ which will come by December,” Vivek Nayer, senior VP – Marketing, automotive division, Mahindra and Mahindra confirmed reporters.

“Currently, we are focusing on our core brands of Scorpio, Bolero and Xylo and trying to grow other brands such as Verito and pick-up truck Maxximo,” Nayer added.

Mahindra and Mahindra registered good sales result for August with an increase of 30.38% at 37,684 units against 28,903 units in August 2010.
