Honda Siel Cars India Recalls Over 72,000 Second Gen Honda City Cars

This is the second largest recall by any automotive manufacturer in India.

The company announced that the replacement would be free of cost to the owners of the cars and that individual owners are going to be contacted in the matter.

The Company has, in a statement, said: “HSCI is carrying out the part replacement as part of a global exercise by Honda Motor Company to ensure stringent quality standards for its products.”

According to the Company, the third generation of Honda City cars being sold currently in India and elsewhere do not require any such replacement and are not a part of the present exercise.
