BMW has unveiled new version of the iconic car Mini on Tuesday at Oxford in UK. The all-new 2014 hatchback may hit Indian market later next year.
The third generation BMW Mini is bigger than its earlier generations with 44mm wider and 7mm taller.
The new MINI Cooper, Cooper D and Cooper S will go on sale initially and it is built on a newly BMW engineered UKL1.
The cars will be available in five new colours, with extra interior space, especially in the rear seats.
The all new Mini comes with sharper creases, a newer front grille and LED head and tail lights.
BMW calls the new car “a balance between heritage and innovation’’
The Cooper and Cooper D are powered by 1.5-litre three-cylinder petrol and diesel engines which provides 134PS and 114PS respectively. While Cooper takes 0-100kmph in 7.9 seconds, the Cooper D takes 9.2 seconds.
BMW will launch it on March 2014 with Cooper lists at £15,300, the Cooper D is priced at £16,450 and the Cooper S starts costs £18,650.
