BMW Launches Pre-Owned Car Business

BMW India has entered the pre-owned cars business with the launch of its ‘ BMW Premium Selection’ which sells “carefully selected”, “comprehensively examined” luxury cars. The prices start at Rs.16 lac.

To start with, the pre-owned BMW cars will be available at Bangalore, Chennai, Gurgaon (New Delhi), Hyderabad, Ludhiana, Mumbai, and Pune.

Andreas Schaaf, President, BMW India, said: “The pre-owned car business will play an important role in the success of the company in India”.

Mr.Schaff added: “Till October, we have sold 8,042 cars in India, accounting for 40 per cent of the luxury car market.” The company expects the used cars business to sell as many as 10% of the new cars it sells.

According to Mr.Schaff, all the used cars to be sold by BMW Selection would be less than five years old and would have run less than 1,20,000 Km. The vehicles carry  a warranty of two years or two-lac kilometers, whichever is earlier.

Prospective buyers may avail themselves of the finance offered by BMW Financial Services at 13%pa.
