Social activist and the core member of Team Anna, Arvind Kejriwal has alleged that CBI had informed the coal companies much before they carried out raids on September 4.
Ramon Magsaysay Award winner kejriwal twitted, “Just recd mail from an officer in one of raided cos. They were informed 2 days in advance abt raids and were asked to remove all material,”
The CBI has issued an official statement claiming Kejriwal’s allegations are false and baseless.
On Tuesday, CBI had raided many coal companies across India in connection with the alleged scam in coal blocks allocation. The raids were conducted in New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Patna, Hyderabad, Dhanbad and Nagpur. CBI lodged FIR against Congress MP Vijay Darda and his brother and minister of the Maharashtra government, Rajendra Darda for alleged criminal conspiracy to get coal blocks by providing false documents.
However, Kejriwal’s claim is now providing a new twist in the whole story.
