BJP President Amit Shah on Monday said that the seat-sharing for the upcoming Bihar polls was settled with its allies. At a press conference in New Delhi Shah said BJP would contest on 160 seats while LJP would contest on 40 and RSLP on 23. The erstwhile Bihar chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi’s newly formed Hindustam Awaam Morcha (HAM) will be contesting on the remaining 20 seats.
Shah said in the press conference, where the alliance party leaders were present, that there was “no tug of war” amongst the alliance partners over seat sharing. While encouraging its alliance to contest polls in unity for a victory, Shah said the matter of Chief Minister will be discussed after the elections.
The Bihar polls, which are scheduled to happen in five phases, will commence on the 12th of October and conclude on the 5th of November.
