If 2013 was not much a thrill for the Holly lovers throughout the world, this year is going to be a feast for the movie-lovers. A whole lot of highly anticipated movies are going to throng the theaters. A very brief list of ten picks follows.
Noah
One of the highly anticipated films starred by Russel Crowe in 2014 is Noah. Directed by Darren Aronofsky, this religious epic film which shows The Biblical Noah and is based on Noah’s Ark. The movie is slated for a release on 28th March 2014.
300: Rise Of An Empire
Not a sequel but a sidequel to its previous franchise, Rise Of An Empire has already grabbed eyeballs with its aesthetically violent trailer. The movie evolves as Greek general Themistocles battles an invading army of Persians under the mortal-turned-god, Xerxes. The movie will be hitting theaters 7th March 2014.
The Monuments Men
Clooney this year is coming with a bigger bang as his Monuments Men is hitting theaters on 7th February, next month. It depicts a World War II platoon who is tasked to rescue art masterpieces from Nazi thieves and return them to their owners. Co-starred by Cate Blanchett and Matt Damon, Clooney himself directs this true story about one of the most greated treasure hunts in the world.
Transformers: Age of Extinction
One of the most popular franchise worldwide and one of the most speculated movies is Transformers : Age Of Extinction. Decepticons, Autobots , Dinobots – are all waiting to put an adrenalin-racing show from June 27th this year.
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes
The last installment was spectacular and an instant hit. After Ceaser started out with all its genetically evolved apes – this time the battle reaches at its epitome as the survivors of the simian plague trigger an all-out war between humanity and Caesar’s growing forces. Ceaser is ready to put a challenge to the whole of obscured humanity from 11th July at the theaters to put up a war determining who is the dominant species!!
Frank Miller and Robert Rodriguez come up with this graphic noir starred by Jessica Alba, Mickey Rourke and Rosario Dawson. The plot revolves as The town’s most hard-boiled citizens cross paths with some of its more reviled inhabitants. It is hitting theaters on 22nd August 2014.
Interstellar
Christopher Nolan is coming back with a bigger spectrum of experience in this year. The movie depicts a group of explorers who travel through a newly discovered wormhole. It surpasses the limitations on human space travel and conquers the vast distances involved in an interstellar voyage. The movie is slated for a release on 7th November 2014.
And, other than these there are several other movies which will be catching eyes at the major level. Some of them are –
- The Amazing Spider Man 2 by Mark Webb with Andrew Garfield in the lead is sure to hit big at theaters.
- Transcendence by Wally Pfister starring Johnny Depp depicts a terminally ill scientist who downloads his body into a computer. This grants him power beyond his wildest dream and sooner than later he was high on his way to be stopped.
- X-Men : Days Of the Future Past is one of the highly speculated movies where X-Men send Wolverine to the past in a desperate effort to change history and prevent an event that results in doom for both humans and mutants.
- Edge Of Tomorrow marks Tom Cruise caught in a time loop of his last day in the battle with the aliens.
- Fast and Furious 7 this time will bring the last feature of the incredibly talented Paul Walker. And FF franchise never dumps the high expectation of an adrenaline-pumping racy movie.
- The Expendables 3 this time follows the exploits of Barney Ross, Lee Christmas, and their associates. A dream combi for all actioner-lovers worldwide.
- Gone Girl – based on the novel of the same name depicts the story as a woman mysteriously disappears on the day of her wedding anniversary. Starred by Ben Affleck and directed by David Fincher – the movie is already creating hues throughout.
- RoboCop by José Padilha shows the part-man, part-robot police officer.
Well, other than these, there are also some good movies to look out for as Need For Speed, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Rio 2, Godzilla, Jupiter Ascending and many more. Obviously, this year promises to be a treat for all movie-buffs!
