Yahoo has bought promising start-up Vizify which specializes in allowing people to turn their social media data into videos, infograpics or other visual presentations.
“We have found in Vizify a company that shares our passion for visualization technology and the user experience,” Yahoo said in a statement.
Portland based company Vizify was founded in 201. All its five-member team will now join Yahoo.
“As for what’s next, we can’t talk specifics just yet, but we’re excited to bring a more visual approach to data at Yahoo,” the announcement posted on Vizify’s website.
“We have a lot more up our sleeves and can’t wait to get started,” it added.
Since Marissa Mayer took over the CEO post of Yahoo, the company bought a series of start-ups. Only last month it acquired Wander, a maker of Days app.
