The Apex court on Friday has reject Kingfisher Airline’s plea to give more time to pay nearly Rs 400 crore tax dues to the Income Tax Department.
“It is a serious liability. You have deducted tax from employees but have not paid the Income-Tax Department,” the court said today, while dismissing the airline’s petition.
Supreme Court in January had ordered KFA to pay the TDS dues in four weeks but Kingfisher applied for another three weeks with the court.
Kingfisher has liabilities of more than Rs 15,000 crore.
