Infosys Chairman Narayana Murthy invited ex- top executives who have left the company and join rivals to come back and rejoin Infosys.
In his revival plan Mr. Murthy tries to woo those who have helped building Infosys Empire over the years but left due to certain reasons.
Murthy has taken over the company on June 1 and he is on a mission to rebuild a “desirable Infosys”. In his speech last week at the company’s annual general meeting, Murthy said he needs three years to rebuild Infosys where it was.
Over the last couple of years many top executives have left Infosys and the crisis at the leadership led the company into a dismal position. According to media reports Murthy is keen to get back former top executives like Shaji Farooq, Balaji Yellavalli and Ritesh Idnani.
Although it is seen as a smart move by Murthy, however, we are not sure whether senior executives will return or not. Murthy is back but the truth is that the reasons for which the executives left are still there and it would be difficult for Infosys to retain employees if it does not address the fundamental problems.
