Infosys CEO Vishaal Sikka announced a number of alterations, pertaining to the roles and responsibilities of the company’s executives.
This was a rejoinder to the disappointments that the company was lately facing in the June quarter.
In a short email to the employees, Sikka was blunt and pragmatic, when it came to responsibilities ascertained to the employees, where he was seen a allotting some the less significant duties while some the vital ones.
“I am disappointed. Disappointed that our revenue performance was not what we could have delivered, but even more so, that this overshadowed that many strong strides we made on executing our strategy.” he mentioned.
Ritika Suri, the senior vice-president, corporate development and ventures is now assigned to take over the large deals, namely the strategic global sourcing programme.
Anup Uppadhayay, executive VP and the head of strategic global sourcing has decided to quit and now lead Infosys BPO, a dicy business which has quite an unimpressive growth chart in the June quarter.
And hence, Infosys Veteran Anantha RadhaKrishnan, who was the COO of this business has been appointed the CEO, thus replacing Uppadhayay.
Deepak Padaki is the new Senior Vice President for the strategy and chief risk officer. Sudhir Jha who was once the product lead for personalised ads policies at Google has been poached in at eh Senior Vice President an the head of product management and strategy at Infosys.
Admist all the alterations, the three presidents, Ravi Kumar, Mohit Joshi, and Sandeep Dadlani welcomed some praise from Sikka.
