After the successful production of The Oscars in 2014 hosted by Ellen DeGeneres, and the previous edition, hosted by Seth MacFarlane, Craig Zadan and Neil Meron are returning to produce the Oscars for a third consecutive year.
“Their showmanship has elevated the show to new heights and we are excited to keep the momentum going with this creative partnership,” said Academy president Cheryl Boone Isaacs who on Monday announced their return as producers.
The 2015 Oscars are set to take place Sunday, Feb. 22, at the Dolby Theater at Hollywood & Highland Center in Hollywood. The 2014 Oscars averaged 45.4 million total viewers. It also drew a 13.7 rating among adults 18-49. The show recorded as the most watched entertainment telecast in 10 years. It also attracted the biggest viewership in 14 years.
After the announced, the overwhelmed duo said in a statement, “We’re proud of the show’s success over the last two years and are eager to embark on another entertaining show to honor this year’s motion pictures.” And, the world awaits another gala entertaining show coming year.
