When Kanye West interrupted Taylor Swift’s award speech for the best video at the MTVs, we all knew that this rivalry was not going to die anytime soon. For a while,it seemed that all was done and forgotten when we saw the three posing for pictures together at the recent Emmy Awards. Therefore, we were slightly surprised when, in the video of Kanye’s latest track ‘Famous’, amongst the many wax-made naked models, there lay Taylor, right next to the controversial star. So naturally, fans of the star who pride themselves as ‘Swifties’ took to Twitter as well as other social media platforms to express their displeasure at this disrespectful act. Taylor, who was busy going on romantic outings with her new love interest, Tom Hiddleston, expressed her shock and surprise at this. And for a moment there everyone believed her. But with the recent turns of events, it looks like the whole thing was not as surprising as Taylor said it was.
Kim Kardashian, after going on a rant about Taylor in her latest interview with the GQ Magazine, has now leaked a video of Kanye’s phone call with Taylor, and it is shocking. In the video, we see Kanye talking with Taylor about the song and telling her the line he was thinking about, “For all my Southside n****s that know me best/I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex/Why? I made that b***h famous.” To this, she says, “Go with whatever line you think is better, it’s obviously very tongue and cheek either way,” she says to Kanye, later adding, “I never would’ve expected you to tell me about the line.” This definitely contradicts with her expression of surprise and displeasure. She later adds on that she actually thinks it as a compliment as Kanye is rapping about her. Her reaction definitely didn’t seem like it was a compliment,though.
Last week, Calvin Harris took a dig at his ex-girlfriend and her PR team. Katy Perry too took part in his feud with a smart use of a GIF of Hillary Clinton. While BFF Selena Gomez did come to her rescue on Twitter, asking people to focus on things that matter, things definitely do not seem to be looking good for the Bad Blood singer. Fans have already started taking sides, with most of them siding with Kanye and Kim and believe that Taylor is indeed playing the victim here. This feud does not seem like one to end anytime soon.
