Anticipation soars high for 300: The Rise of an Empire

The swimming horse, the flaming grenades, huge Navy, the endless numbers of soldiers and the enigmatic slow-mo beheadings – the 300 is back. As a follow-up to the 2007 epic 300 , the movie is one of the most awaited sequels in the world.

Based on Frank Miller’s latest graphic novel Xerxes, the plot deals with how the Greek General Themistocles battles the invading Persians under the mortal-turned-God Xerxes.

Directed by Noam Murro, the film casts Rodrigo Santoro as Xerxes and Sullivan Stapleton as Themistocles. The sultry Bond girl from Casino Royale Eva Green plays Artemesia.

The trailer released with that incredible look soars the expectation high given the prequel has set the rare standard.

The movie is slated to release on 7^th March, 2014 internationally
