Just Add Magic: Mystery City

Just Add Magic: Mystery City is a sequel to Just Add Magic. The story turns around a magic cookbook which moves from Saffron falls to Bay city to the new protectors. The three new protectors are Zoe, Leo, and Ish. They are strangers until this magic cookbook arrives. Leo is a neighbor to Ish, Zoe and Leo are going to be brother and sister as their parents are getting married.

The cookbook is never-ending and filled with magical recipes. The cookbook moves on its own and it chooses the protectors. The protectors will always have a mystery to solve and it can be done through cooking recipes. Three of them work together and utilize their talents in order to unlock the mystery. Zoe’s father was a former protector and he left some clues to Zoe for unlocking the mystery. Ish is good with people where Zoe is not. Ish has a friend at school called Lexi, she hangouts with her now and then. The protectors gradually get into good terms with each other. Cooking magic recipes is not as easy as you think, everything comes with a downside. They keep working to find some coins related to the mystery, they don’t know where they are heading to but they never stop. Later they will get to know that Ish’s friend Lexi and their family are Wessons. The Wessons are also after the coins.

Mystery city depicts a great degree of teamwork and friendship in a beautiful way.  The three kids work together despite the problems they face.
