Gravity: Movie Review

Gravity 3D review

Film: Gravity
Cast: Sandra Bullock, George Clooney
Director: Alfonso Cuarón
Runtime: 91 min

After watching Gravity, I can say that Mexican filmmaker Alfonso Cuarón has booked himself for another Oscar nomination. This is one of the best 3D films I have watched in recent times. ‘Gravity’ not only offers awesome storyline, amazing 3D effects & Gravity 3D reviewimageries but it enriches with superb performance by its casts, especially female lead Sandra Bullock. It is my guarantee that no one will feel bore at anytime all through 91 minutes; rather one will feel to be in the 600km above the Earth surface, in the space and where one will experience 0 gravity journey with Sandra Bullock.

The movie revolves around a heart broken medical engineer Ryan Stone (Sandra Bullock) whose daughter died at the age of 4 and a veteran astronaut Matt Kowalsky (George Clooney). The story starts when Dr. Ryan Stone and crew received warnings from Mission Control in Houston that Russians missile had destroyed their defunct satellite and the debris are flying in the space and damaging whatever is coming on its way. They were told to abort mission and get back to shuttle. However, shortly after that the communications cut off and before they went inside shuttle, the storm of debris came and destroyed everything. After disaster Ryan was thrown in space with Matt and others.

Sandra Bullock in GravityAlfonso Cuarón’s breathtaking survival story telling in sync with amazing background music of Steven Price, held me spellbound till very end of the movie. Ryan’s personal life, her loneliness and isolation, Matt’s sacrifice to save Ryan’s life, their enduring journey to the space-station and Ryan’s ultimate survival and return back to earth soil – proves that the story of the Gravity is the main hero here.

Cuarón magically takes audience to float lonely in the quiet space with Ryan. The breathtaking 3D effects were provides lifetime experience of floating in the world of weightlessness where water floats in space, tears goes in upward direction and then floating fire which is unexplainable and dangerously frightening. And when filially Ryan landed on earth in the Chinese shuttle and takes her first unstable steps on land in full gravity, believe me we all did. It feels like we are breathing again!
