The magic of the very famous Marathi play, Katyar Kaljat Ghusali, is all set to be recreated for the cinema loving audience. Though it is being brought back on the screen after nearly 58 years having been first premiered in 1967, it still lives in the heart of all the people. The story revolves around two music maestros belonging to different gharanas. What makes this story special is that one of them is a Hindu while the other is a Muslim. Despite belonging to different backgrounds, the kind of respect they share for one another is truly heart warming and inspirational. The audience is also exposed to comparisons between different styles of music and their individual approaches towards music makes this journey all the more beautiful. Rahul Deshpande and Subodh Bhave are seen playing the leads. the star cast boasts of names like Mrunmayee Deshpande, Amruta Khanvilkar, Sachin Pilgaonkar, Sakshi Tanwae among others. Along with acting, Rahul Deshpande is also lending his voice to the film. He is not alone in this. Musical veteran, Shankar Mahadevan will be seen offering his musical genies to this grand film.
