It has been a long time now since the speculations of Salman Khan and Deepika Padukone is coming together for a film are buzzing in the tinsel town. But their film does not seem to be destined anytime now or in future. Rumors from grapevine said that Deepika will be seen opposite Salman in his upcoming films Shuddhi and Sultan.
But the 29 year old actress has denied all the speculations and consequently doomed down the spirits of fans who were excitedly waiting to see this collaboration on the silver screen. Many were eager to see the chemistry between the two top stars of Bollywood but all the chances have flattened out now. A leading daily reported Deepika, claiming that she was never even offered the role in Karan Johar`s Shuddhi or Ali Abbas Zafar`s Sultan.
Currently, Deepika is busy receiving acclamations for her latest release Piku, while Salman is shooting for his upcoming movie Bajrangi Bhaijaan. The compliments Deepika is getting for Piku are far more than great. The comely actress was quoted saying, “I think we had all thought that it’s a sweet film and that people will connect with it, but none of us had expected it to become this big. It’s gone beyond our own control. The biggest compliment for me has been… I know it may sound funny, but a lot of people want to adopt me.”
On the film front, Deepika has two mega projects ahead this year, Imtiaz Ali`s Tamasha with Ranbir Kapoor and Bhansali`s period drama, Bajirao Mastani with her alleged beau Ranveer Singh.
With these many wonderful things in her success list, she has probably become the actress everyone wishes to work with. Even Deepika had once mentioned her will to work with Dabangg Khan. What we can do is just wait and see when the things shape out and for which film they finally come together! But whenever they will, it is sure that they will set the screens on fire with their chemistry!
