The 24-year-old Mohammed Akil Mallick has reportedly slapped model turned actor Gauahar Khan in Mumbai during shooting of a reality show ‘India’s Raw Star’.

The incident took place at Film City in Goregaon on Sunday when Mallick, an audience member of the said reality show, attacked and slapped Khan.

The Aarey Colony police said that he slapped her for “being a Muslim woman, she should not have worn such a short dress”.

PTI quoted senior inspector, Vilas Chavan, who said that Malick was arrested and booked under IPC sections 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation).
