A SMALL MISUNDERSTAING BETWEEN TWO HEROINES
Kangana Ranaut had been receiving numerous awards for her performance in Queen. Amidst all this, Deepika Padukone received Best Actress award at a certain event. As a sweet gesture, she decided to dedicate her award to Kangana whose performance has been critically acclaimed. As a reply to this, Kangy said that most of her friends and respectful actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, and Priyanka Chopra had called her to wish her personally but Deepika never did that. This statement of hers led to a minor misunderstanding. But Dippy sorted out the whole mess amicably by calling Kangana and clarifying the things. Kangy told Hindustan Times, “Deepika called me, and clarified that she had no personal equation with me to make a direct call. Also, I explained to her how it would have been unjust for me to publicly acknowledge an award from her when I have decided not to attend any awards functions. It was an emotional and heartfelt conversation. I appreciate that she called me; she is truly courteous and very emotional, and I just love that.” Well, this incident shows how the young brigade of Bollywood is not keen on maintaining rivalry, instead looks after strengthening the friendship bonds.
‘BROTHERS’ RELEASE DATE OUT
Upcoming action and romance flick ‘Brothers’ starring Akshay Kumar, Siddharth Malhotra, Jackie Shroff, and Jacqueline Fernandez in pivotal roles has finally announced its release date. Dharma Productions has finalized the release on 14th August, i.e. on the eve of Independence Day to put forth the main essence of the film effectively. It is an adaptation of the Hollywood film ’ Warriors’ showcasing the tale of two estranged brothers. The poster of the film having a rugged look already has received a great response and the film is being looked forward to by audiences.
SHAHID`S WEDDING DESTINATION IS GREECE
Since the news of Shahid Kapoor getting married has been leaked, speculations are rising with each passing day revolving the wedding affair. A report recently said that it is almost fixed that Shahid and Mira Rajput are to tie knot in between Instanbul and Greece on June 10. It is speculated that Shahid has pushed his June schedule of movie ‘Farzi’ and has even informed the directors that he won`t be able to shoot in June. Though, the actor himself hasn`t confirmed anything, but the coming month will surely confirm the news!
A PATRIOTIC STATEMENT MADE SALMAN IN COURT
Salman had to appear in court as usual and before the charges were read out to him, the court was going through a regular procedure of asking name, caste, and profession. When he was being asked what his caste is, Salman said it is India. He was then reminded that Indian is not a caste, so he said that it is Hindu-Muslim as his mother is Hindu and father Muslim. Well, this statement of his left everyone confused as to whether he was trying to be filmy or is he truly patriotic at heart.
MARGARITA WITH A STRAW BAGS AN ACCOLADE
Kalki Koechlin starer ‘Margarita With A Straw’ received well acclaimed response critically in India. Movie focusing on the girl struck by cerebral palsy was worth a watch and all the hardwork seemed to pay off when it bagged the Best Feature Film honor at the Washington, DC International Film Festival. We just hope that Indian films with eccentric storylines keep achieving such heights and add more rewards to the collection.
