Princess Diana’s India dress up for auction

Princess Diana’s 10 evening gowns including one that she worn during her India visit are set to be auctioned in London in March.

Princess of Wales wore that dazzling red pink silk gown, designed by Catherine Walker in February 1992 in her state visit to India.

“It is one of the most lavish of all her gowns. Richly embroidered royal dresses have been a tradition for royalty and aristocracy since Elizabethan times,” a spokesperson for Kerry Taylor Auctions told PTI.

Another dress which is going to be under hammer is the one Princess Diana wore during dance with John Travolta in 1985 at the White House dance floor.

The auction house is pretty confident that the latest auction will be a huge hit.

Princee Diana died in a road crash in Paris in 1997.
