IPL opening ceremony will feature performences of Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Pitbull

Bollywood Superstar and Kolkata Knight Riders owner Shah Rukh Khan will perform at the opening ceremony of the sixth edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) at Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata on April 2.

Katrina Kaif reportedly will add the glamour portion at the opening ceremony. She will perform alongside Shah Rukh Khan. This is going to be Katrina’s first performance in Kolkata.

SRK’s company Red Chillies Entertainments have earned this year’s organizing rights from the BCCI.

Shah Rukh is also bringing international rapper Pitbull to perform at the opening ceremony in Kolkata.

Incidentally Shah Rukh Khan is also brand ambassador of West Bengal.

“SRK loves the city of joy and he is already very excited to perform there. Katrina will be performing there for the first time. When Pitbull was told that he is being invited to perform at the opening ceremony of IPL and SRK would also be performing, he agreed to come immediately,” a source told TOI.

Shah Rukh has promised to make the ceremony so lavish that Kolkata will remember it for long.
