A domestic violence case registered against Om Puri

Actor Om Puri’s wife Nandita has registered a domestic violence case against him on Monday night in Mumbai.

Om Puri, who supposed to fly down to US on 30^th this month for shooting of Steven Spielberg’s upcoming film opposite Helen Mirren, is in deep trouble as Nandita asked the police to seize his passport so that he can’t leave the country.

In her complaint Nandita alleged that on the evening of August 22, actor Om Puri came to her house to catch up with their teenage son Ishaan. While he was in the house, he started making phone calls to his woman friend, which Nandita objected. After their verbal argument the actor suddenly attacked her and started beating. Reportedly he even uses brass decors and bamboo artifact while beating her. Later he stormed out of the house.

After getting treatment from Cooper Hospital, Nandita went to Versova Police Station where she lodged FIR against Om Puri and seeks non-bailable arrest warrant against him.
