Vivek Oberoi, who is currently working on the biopic of former underworld don Muthappa Rai titled Rai, is likely to venture into regional cinema and act in a Marathi project.
According to sources, Riteish Deshmukh narrated the script of a Marathi film to Vivek recently. “Vivek is touched by the gesture of his Masti co-star and liked the script too. If things work out, he may agree to do the film.”
“Vivek, who is doing a web series and a Tamil project too, is keen on dabbling into various territories. Being a huge fan of Marathi cinema, he always wanted to be part of good content-driven Marathi films,” the source adds.
He confirms, “Riteish has narrated a script to me. I liked it. So let’s see.” On his love for Marathi cinema, the large-hearted actor adds, “I’ve been watching Marathi cinema, more so lately. I see a lot of good content being made and promoted, which is great for Indian cinema as a whole. I have always been a big admirer of Marathi cinema for its meaningful stories and substantial content.”
