Got confused? Any normal being would display similar reaction, but, before that, get known to this truth. Because where the actual crux lies is in this uncanny attempt made by Bhushan Patel`s forthcoming film Alone.
The movie team has planned to show two attached Bipashas on the same screen with the use of advanced VFX technology to emboss their own uniqueness on Bollywood surface. The movie`s assigned VFX creator Soumen Das worked very hard to add a complete realism to the scenes which required two Bipashas to be seen together. His toughest challenge was to screen the twin sisters who are bodily attached at the hip and are exact look alike of each other.
As the film is a horror love story, there arises a question of who would be seen playing a ghost then? But to our surprise, it has happened for the first time in Bollywood that the glamorous diva would turn herself into an apparition after her death, only to ruin the life of her twin sister.
Such twisted plot needed many double acts to be shot which further strained Soumen`s work of making it more complex. Thus, a prosthetic layer was brought into use and each spine-chilling scene required shooting Bipasha and a body double first and then re-shoot with Bipasha wearing the prosthetics, reported Mumbai Mirror.
Due to this double act technique, Soumen was packed with tedious schedule about which he mentioned in his statement, “We were filming ghost sequences that appeared to be funny rather than scary. Since, we were working on conjoined twins; every sequence had to be filmed twice. We had to adjust the lighting so that the actors did not have shadows falling on them.”
Talking more about the latest VFX tactics which were implemented by him in the film, he says, “Since Bipasha had to play both the sisters and we had to make them both appear in one frame as conjoined, a composite merging process was used that combined live footage from the sets and computer generated images. The pre-production stage took seven months and matte paintings were created for 30 per cent of the film. There were complex scenes and we are quite elated with the end result. I am sure the audiences will be intrigued and also thrilled when they get to watch the film.”
Also, Bipasha will be seen romancing with television heartthrob Karan Singh Grover, who is playing the lead hero in Alone. With such an interesting storyline in the pocket, Alone is sure to grab everyone`s eyes with their eccentric theme.
