Almost every Bollywood fanatic is excited about Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming project – Fan. SRK will be seen in a dual role here and what makes it really unique this time around is its concept. It is all about SRK essaying the character of superstar which he already is, and the ardent, diehard fan of this star, which also will be peculiarly played by SRK himself.
Produced by Yash Raj Films, movie’s teaser got out just today and has built up real hopes. Shah Rukh shared the link on twitter saying, “”Hey @yrf @FanTheFilm banaya, bada mazaa aaya” #FanApril15 @iamsrk.” Needless to say, it soon became a trending topic on this microblogging site.
In teaser, Bollywood Badshah can be seen performing his signature stretched arms pose while his huge fan is seen imitating him in his hometown in Delhi. The film doesn`t totally emphasize on superstar or his stardom, but his biggest-ever fan and nuances of his life. The teaser also states, “Shah Rukh Khan In And As Fan.” Quite a creative and punny way of putting forth the concept!
Film helmed by Maneesh Sharma, it was earlier scheduled to release this Independence Day, but, due to pending work of addition of VFX effects, it has been postponed to April 15th 2016. The movie also stars Sachin Pilgaonkar’s daughter, Shriya Pilgaonkar.
Meanwhile, one wonders about the shocking graffiti pictures which went viral on social media yesterday. Some good artist had painted ‘Love u Srk’ and ‘C u on 15th’ on the walls of Shah Rukh`s four-storey bungalow Mannat. SRK soon took to twitter to clarify the things saying, “U can’t leave ur house for a day without sum one messing with it!! Shocked.”
But the soon released teaser of the film makes us doubt whether it was really some unknown fan`s love. And by ‘c u on 15th’ does the person mean ‘see you on 15th April?’ Also, the graffiti was signed by a person named Gaurav and surprisingly the name of SRK`s character is all way round the same in the film! Truly shocking, right? Well, it isn`t any wrong if one assumes it to be a promotional or marketing strategy, given the quick sequences in which all these events occurred. Well, this promotional gimmick wasn’t that dull, it is anyway good to keep on trying something new everytime!
