Rekha Turns 57 Today

Rekha made her debut in Kannada film Goa dalli CID 999 with Rajkumar in 1969 and made her Bollywood debut with Sawan Bhandon.

   
Do Anjaane, Muqaddar Ka Sikander, Ijaazat, Silsila, Utsav, Khoon Bhari Maang etc. Some of her biggest hit movie. Her pairing with Bollywood shahensha Amitabh Bachchan was very popular and created many gossips.

For her performance in Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s comedy Khubsoorat, Rekha got her First Filmfare Award for Best Actress.  She again won her second Filmfare Award for the film Khoon Bhari Maang.                                        

Rekha also won the National Film Award for Best Actress for her awesome performance in Umrao Jaan.
