Viacom 18 Motion Pictures will pay tribute to 100 years of Indian Cinema through ‘Bombay Talkies’, a collection of four short films directed by Anurag Kashyap, Dibakar Banerjee, Karan Johar and Zoya Akhtar.
Zoya Akhtar’s short film will feature Katrina Kaif. Last time the duo work together was for Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. In this short film Katrina will play herself.
“Katrina is playing her glamourised self in the film, which is a fictional take on Bollywood’s evolution. She agreed to play the part only for Zoya,” media quoted a source.
In Karan Johar’s directorial section Rani Mukerji will play role of a journalist. Randeep Hooda will also play an important role in Karan’s segment.
“Karan has a shot a major portion of his film, which is a gripping narration of the hectic life of an urban couple played by Rani and Randeep,” the source added.
Dibakar Banerjee has completed his segment of Bombay Talkies with actor
Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Anurag Kashyap has finished his story with Amitabh Bachchan.
Bombay Talkies will be released on May 3.
