After Jodhaa Akbar, director Ashutosh Gowariker and Hrithik Roshan team up again for one more periodical film Mohenjo-Daro and for which Hrithik Roshan is reportedly getting whooping Rs 50 crore.
According to the report in Mumbai Mirror, Hrithik is all set to become highest paid Bollywood star if indeed this deal works out.
Set in the era of the Indus Valley Civilisation, the Mohenjo-Daro is a love story.
“I just love, love stories, especially those that are set in different eras. And if it’s several centuries ago, then the intensity of that romance grows multiple fold. Mohenjo-Daro dates back to 2500 BC (4500 years ago). I am extremely excited with the challenge of telling this love story, set during the Indus Valley Civilisation. And to have Hrithik play the protagonist in this ancient world I am creating, makes it all the more exciting,” Gowariker said.
“The Indus Valley Civilisation is very centric to India — popular not just in our country, but of interest and intrigue for the rest of the world. But more than anything else, I am truly excited to work with Ashutosh once again,” confirmed Hrithik Roshan.
The film is on pre-production and is scheduled to go on floor later this year.
Hrithik‘s upcoming Bang Bang with Katrina Kaif will be released on October 2 and set to take on Shahid Kapoor’s Haider at the box office.
