EXCLUSIVE – This actor will be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati !

Jim Sarbh had the industry and critics raving about his performance as the prime hijacker in Neerja .The actor has now been signed for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati starring Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor .

While not much is known about his character in the film, sources reveal that the talented actor will essay an important role in magnum opus.

Adds the source, ” Sanjay Leela Bhansali was blown away with Jim’s audition tape. He immediately signed him for Padmavati in a challenging role, that the filmmaker believes he will do justice to.”

It is for the very first time that Sanjay Leela Bhansali is making an “anti-hero” film- telling the tale of the greatest Sultan of Hindustan – the sharp and ambitious Turk, Alauddin Khilji and the legendary Mewar queen Padmavati, known for her beauty, intellect and the courage with which she fought her nemesis – the undefeated Alauddin.

‘Padmavati’ also stars Shahid Kapoor who will essay Deepika Padukone’s husband Raja Ratan Singh , a just ruler and a warrior who gave his all to the battlefield.The two are paired together for the very first time in Padmavati.
