Box-office report: ‘Himmatwala’ collects Rs 31.1 crore in opening weekend

Sajid Khan’s latest directorial venture ‘Himmatwala’ has collected Rs 31.1 crore at the box office in its opening weekend.

‘Himmatwala’ is a remake of K Raghavendra Rao’s 1983 super hit film. It has Ajay Devgn, Tammannah Bhatia, Mahesh Manjrekar and Paresh Rawal in the leading roles.

“ Himmatwala collected approx Rs 31.1 cr nett in its opening weekend. Breakup: Fri 12.1 cr, Sat 8.5 cr, Sun 10.5 cr,” said Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh on tweeter.

“In view of the fact that UTV has given, Himmatwala a wide release, the weekend numbers are shockingly low,” Taran Adarsh added.
