- Are Salman and SRK really coming together?
The two superstars were seen bonding over twitter on the occasion of Eid. Shah Rukhs Raees is going to clash with Salmans Sultan next year, but Salman still took to twitter to praise the teaser and asking everyone to watch it. What more interesting is, in response to Salmans friendly gesture, SRK wished him Eid Mubarak and requested him to send home some BIryani. Here it goes, Salman : “RAEESSSSSSS ah raha hai. Filhaal teaser dekho aur enjoy karo behaad.”
SRK: “@BeingSalmanKhan abhi Bulgaria mein hoon aa nahi sakta. Thodi Biryani bhijwade ghar mein bachhon ke liye. Eid Mubarak & love to family.” It seems that these two are getting back on their companionable equation, at least in the virtual world!
- Twitter achievements of celebs!
Being on social networking sites, everybody wants to have millions of followers to follow them in order to prove their popularity. But things are different for celebrities as they earn numerous followers in a go due to their celeb status. Some celebrities who crossed a great million mark on twitter last week include Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek and Amitabh Bachchan. Big B is one of the celebrities known to have the greatest number of followers, whose popularity is just increasing worldwide day by day. Amitabh Bachchan now has 16 millions followers on twitter, a humongous number indeed! He now aims to gain 20 mn followers in coming days. While his son Abhishek thanked everyone for their love as he reached up to a number of 7 million followers. Riteish Deshmukh, who had joined twitter in 2009, also accomplished 4 mn followers just last week.
- Twitter slamming
While some stars are enjoying love from their fans on twitter, there are others who are getting slammed due to their quirky comments. Neha Dhupia is a recent example of this who received much wrath due to her recent tweet. “One rain n the city comes to a standstill. Good governance is not about selfies n makin us do yoga, it’s making sure ur citizens r safe,” read her tweet. A string of insulting tweets soon followed wherein her past films and flops were discussed, some even daring to question about her sanity. Other incident happened with Ram Gopal Verma who is famous for pulling controversies. His anti-god tweets always tend to evoke devotees who have faith in god. He tweeted, “Why didn’t God stop those poor devotees from being killed in pushkaras..is it becos they prayed lesser than other devotees who stayed alive?” His next tweet was, “For the pushkara deaths How come everybody blames only Poor C B Naidu and nobody blames God?” It is okay to have personal opinions and principles, but one must respect others thoughts at the same time.
- Bangistan release date postponed
With multiple blockbuster films entertaining huge masses in the month of July, Bangistan makers decided to play safe. The movie which was earlier slated to release on July 31 has now been postponed to 7th August. Focusing on the lives of two terrorists, movie deals with unity among two religions. Co-producer Ritesh Sidhwani said, “Last few releases are rocking the box office collections, which is great for our industry and since our film is tracking well, my distribution team strongly believes that releasing Bangistan on August 7 will be beneficial for our film.” Let us see, if this shifting of release date really plays magic at box office or not.
- Phantom trailer released
The much awaited, Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer, Phantoms poster and trailer released last week. After giving one gem namely Bajrangi Bhaijaan to viewers, director Kabir Khan is all set to prove his skills through Phantom again. Film is an adaptation of Hussain Zaidis book, Mumbai Avengers and is all about dreadful 26/11 attack which shook the universe. From the action-packed trailer, it really seems a promising film which releases on 28th August.
