Andaz Apna Apna Sequel to grab Eyes

Sequels have been a long-drawn practice in Bollywood. After a few successes, the sequel-frenzy has been over-hyped. With two most anticipated sequels of Krrish and Dhoom all set to fire the screen this Diwali and Christmas, Rajkumar Santoshi is all on with his sequel of the cult Andaz Apna Apna.

The 1994 laugh-riot is still very green in our mind – with Aamir Khan and Salman Khan playing the lead as Amar and Prem respectively.

“The story moves ahead in the new sequel. It is about two characters and their new adventures,” the director said.

When asked if the old pair will be playing the leads, “I have had discussions about it with Aamir and Salman. When I complete the script, I will hand it over to both of them. If everything falls in place, they will be part of the sequel too.”, Santoshi quipped.

It is certain that the old pair of female leads will be there in the movie for a short span. The director confirms, “The film is not possible without Karisma and Raveena.” Probably, they will be playing a cameo.

With Santoshi donninga director hat and Aamir/Salman in the lead, the film is sure to create noise in near future.Though the doubt remains that if the sequel can bring the two superstars to scorch the screen together after a long – the hope remains.
