Sonakshi Sinha’s much awaited film ‘Akira’ finally has a release date.
When the news of Sonakshi signing up for the film was out, everyone was excited as they would get to see her in a character that is more than just a few dance numbers and cheesy lines.
But as time progressed, our information about the film’s progress started becoming less and the buzz stopped eventually.
But now, we finally have some good news regarding the movie! The film is all set to hit the big screen on September 23. Directed, produced and written by A R.Murugadoss, this is an action-drama and stars Sonakshi Sinha and Kokona Sen Sharma in the lead roles.
It is a remake of the 2011 Tamil film Mouna Guru. When Sonakshi was asked about stepping away from love stories, she said, “I think it just happened. It is not something that I have consciously tried. I just think that the roles that came to me were really good and I felt that I could pull off or carry it off and also look convincing while doing this action.”
The pictures from the shoot have all of us extremely excited and waiting eagerly for the film!
